MY CHOICE Dec lecture by Bro Olarewaju

DAY ONE. 

Rev 3:14-22

14 "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,`These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:

15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.

16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

17 Because you say, `I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing`--and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked--

18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." ` "

The seven candles represents the seven churches and a message to them that they should not be like the lukewarm. 

And calling them for repentance in verse 19, in verse 20 He said He stand at the door and knock, if anyone hear my voice and open, I will come him to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Now he get to verse 21 He said, To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne. 

This mean that sit is not for lukewarm, see this is the right time to sit up because even the righteous are saved with strong hand. 

1Peter 4:18-19

Now He said in verse 22 that he that have hear let him hear what the spirit says to the church.

Like our hymn book says, Eni tio ba leti, kolo yi iwa dapa. 

See RAPTURE is coming soon and a lukewarm cannot go with us.

I tell you the truth in Christ. 

Now let go deep abit 

*MY CHOICE*

The greatest gift or opportunity God has given to man is a gift of freewill, choice, decision making. 

God never compels a man to do something, so, would love to tell us that: "we are the product of our choice"

You may decide to do this or decide to do that, whatever it is that you have decided to do, is your choice. 

Therefore, choice I will say is a personal decision. 

Everything has a duplicate, everything is created in twos so, you have to decide whether you want left or right, good or bad, small or big... But you can't serve 2 masters. 

It is a must for you to make your choice

Now, it is essential for us to take not that "the choice you make today will either be a plus to your generation or a curse" so, we have to be very careful while choosing. 

If the choice of Adam & Eve in the garden of Eden can cause many generation pains, trials, challenges, Doom etc and the choice of Jesus to die on the cross in our stead can bring liberty, peace, joy, happiness, celebration, liveliness etc then, you have to consider the generations after you while making your choice. 

Don't risk the lives of the forthcoming generation with your current decision Matt 27:24&25

The only way you can make a right choice is to let the one who knows the end from the beginning, the Alpha and Omega choose for you. 

Before I call it a day and we continue in where I stop tomorrow.

What am saying in essence is that we need to inform God in all our choice because we can't choose by ourselves

How can you do that???

Jos 1:8 ;1 thes 5:17

Season yourselves with the word of God and don't be far from prayer. 

He who persistently kneels before God will persistently stand before situations. 

The devil makes you make a wrong choice by squeezing you out of prayer or squeezing prayer out of you. BE WISE. THE WORD IS A LAMP UNTO OUR FEET IN THIS WORLD. Don't walk in darkness.

Because the scripture says He that dwell in the secret place of the Most High and not he that visited.

DAY TWO 

MY CHOICE 

Let me move with our questions that says, Choose this day whether you want to be cold or hot.

Who do you want to serve???

To be cold mean to be dead in spirit, you know some are just cold. 

When you call them for anything in the church, they are not active at all. 

While the hot is the opposite, they are the active member or you can call them the burning ones. 

Now let me give examples of three categories people in this world. 

1. The spiritual man 

2. The carnal man 

3. Natural man

1. The spiritual man are the one that all their life is about Jesus, you can't see them doing bad thing. They are called Christ like. 

Some people will say you are too spiritual, see there is nothing like too spiritual. 

Don't mind them. 

2. The carnal man are the one you will see in church and you will also see them in in club, they listen to spiritual songs and the worldly songs. They involve in the two. 

To be surprise they are the one that will go on trance and deliver message in the church, but yet when you look into their life, you will see stains. 

Because you do club doesn't mean you should not fall under anointing. 

3. Natural man this set of people did not even know Christ at all. 

And you will see some member, they focus more on church programs than the word of God, the programs are good but don't let those programs to occupy all your time that you won't even have much time for yourself. 

Let me tell you a story of two people in Bible, Martha and Mary Luke 10:38-42.

The same thing that Martha is doing is  what many churches are doing now, because some time I call some churches CARNAL CHURCH. 

See, but Mary has chosen the good part because it is inside the word that you will see life. 

What are my saying in essence is that what part did you choose in your life, are you carnal or spiritual. 

All those church programs are good but are they programs that will charge your spirit ma. 

That is why I will huge the church leaders to reduce some programs. 

Because the carnal mind profited nothing to God but the spirit is the life and for those that are led by the spirit are the sons of God. 

Romans 8:6-14.

Now, you know we have being talking about REVIVAL and we say we need REVIVAL and we have being charging ourselves with the word of God to wake us up, which is very good. 

But did you know what, any generation looking for REVIVAL most pray and fast, a generation need REVIVAL then the generation most pray and fast. 

We do talked about our Father SAINT MOSES ORIMOLADE, but Baba Moses was know as a man of prayer and that was why people called him Baba Aladura. 

Many are called Baba Aladura today but is just for decoration, see Baba Moses was called Baba Aladura because he use to pray always.

But now Baba Aladura are Baba of sleeping. 

You can't be a lukewarm and still be a Baba Aladura, that is why the scripture says I will vomit you out of My mouth.

A Christian can never be a lukewarm, because no lukewarm in heaven now. 

The scripture says pray without ceasing. 

Let me stop here and continue tomorrow with PRAY IN SPIRIT, what does it mean to pray in spirit. We will know tomorrow.

DAY THREE

PRAY IN SPIRIT

What does it mean to pray in spirit? 

It means to worship God in spirit and truth, because if you say to worship in spirit mean to pray in tongues then Jesus did not pray in spirit. 

The scripture never say Jesus speak in tongues or pray in tongues, but yet He pray in spirit. 

Did you remember when Jesus met the woman of Samaria, He told her that the time is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 

John 4:23:24.

Now note this, God is spirit and in spirit you will find truth and how can you worship in spirit and truth, meaning that when you worship in spirit because He is spirit and how can you worship Him in spirit while you are in flesh? 

Meaning that you have to first be in Christ because in Christ Jesus all things are possible. 

So in Christ is the spirit and in Him only you can worship the Father in spirit. 

Therefore to worship the Father in spirit you have to first receive christ and that is when you will worship the Father in spirit and truth. 

Now to worship in truth mean that you yourself have know  the truth and the truth have set you free. 

So to worship the Father in truth mean that you worship Him in the language that you understand and not with skaposh and skapash. 

OK, some say you can pray in tongues, praying in the language that you did not understand and yet you pray in truth right. Rubbish. 

Why will you pray in the language that you don't understand and yet is truth. Lol. 

Some say it is the language that the devil don't understand, see let me tell you something people mind is their devil and that is why you have to guide your heart with the things of God

Did you know many Christians that pray in tongues do abuse Muslims that pray in other people's language and yet them are doing the right thing. Can you see the truth. 

Now know this and know the truth and be free. 

If you pray in tongues you did not pray in spirit and truth because you did not understand and our God is not an author of confusion. 

1cor 14:14

For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.

I want you to understand me very well, if you pray in tongues it is your spirit that will pray and you will not understand, and it is the spirit that must give you utterance and not you that will just start speaking in tongues. 

And when you don't understand meaning that you are not pray in truth. 

How do I know? 

1cor 14:15

What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.

Remember Jesus said in John 4:24  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

Anywhere you see MUST, that simply means word of command. 

And Jesus never said they will worship Him in spirit only but He added truth, meaning with understanding. 

Therefore any prayer without an understanding is a waste, is the act of disobedience and it is a SIN. 

That was why Apostle Paul was saying in 1cor 14:15 that I will pray with spirit and I will also pray with understanding, and I will also sing with understanding. 

You see all prayer must come with understanding, without understanding it is a waste. 

How can we pray with spirit and truth? 

We have many songs, the spiritual songs and the worldly songs. 

So to worship in spirit and truth, you have to sing the spiritual songs like the hymns. 

Those hymns and spiritual songs are received from the realm of God. 

And when you use them to worship, that mean you have worship in spirit and when you pray with your language you have worship in truth=in understanding. 

Now you know before you can pray in spirit you have to be in spirit, and how can you be in spirit? 

How? 

Let see what Ephesians 5:17-18 says. 

17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

Now how can you be filled with the spirit? 

Let see the verse 19

speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. 

You see the scripture never say we should pray in tongues, so where did we get it from the world. OK. 

Let end it with verses 20 & 21

20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.

You see the true worshipers style. 

I believed you are blessed and you are free from unscriptural thoughts, from the bondage of the wrong thought. 

God hear all languages and all prayers must come with understanding.

The problem of many is that they have read many book of pray in spirit and they don't make research on it, when they see it from one popular man of God they will just believed all the things in the book.

To read books is good but make your research on it after you have read it finished with the scripture.

So where we are going in essence is that to end lukewarmness.

And it is to pray always.
