 ```But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters].1 cor. 2:14``` 


If you can believe a lie from the devil, then you should be able to believe the truth from God. First thing about a good lie is that, it sounds like the truth and an uncompromising truth always sound like a lie to the ear; it only takes the Holy Spirit to help you believe certain things in the scripture as against all false words (lies), including the fact that Jesus Christ is coming soon. The devil is the father of all lies (John 8:44) and the Bible also says that *Jesus is the Way, the Truth and Life (John 14:6) therefore, the carnal man can not understand the things of God except helped by the Spirit of God (1 Cor. 2:14).*

The Bible also says that: “no wonder, since Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light” 2Cor. 11:14. You see? The devil (lie personified) can come to you looking like Jesus. Allow me to announce to you that your brain doesn’t have the capacity to discern the devil’s lies, because it will always sound reasonable and progressive until it leads its victim to the dead end. Look at King Saul and Judas Iscariot, they both thought they are about to get a big alert (deception from the devil through greed), they had it all planned out, I’m sure Saul thought the prophet was going to budge and if the worse comes, he will beg the prophet and the prophet will talk to God forgetting he has been over pardoned already. His brain was correct in his own eyes until the truth shone on his face. 
Only the Word of God and the Holy Spirit can expose the lies of the devil to us, the beautiful thing is that the Word or the Holy Spirit doesn’t care if it sounds cool or not. The “truth” is all you’ll get, and it comes a lot through the gift of discernment. Can you discern?

Have you been deceived by the chief liar? Have you lost too much to him already? Come to Jesus today. The Bible says in Heb. 4:16 come boldly to the throne of grace so that you can receive Mercy today. If you are ready for a change of life and wants to begin to live in the truth say this prayer with a truthful and contrite heart: say, *Lord Jesus, I believe that you are the Truth and Way, I come to you today, have mercy on me and show me the way. Have mercy on me and give me a new life. Give me a discerning spirit and grace to be dependent and obedient to your Spirit and give me a new life in Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.*
